What are the most common problems in the raw material procurement management of chicken farms?



At present, the most common problems in the raw material procurement management of chicken farms are:
(1) There is no clear procurement strategy, such as lack of analysis of procurement requirements and lack of training for suppliers.
(2) Failing to focus on long-term supplier relationship management, such as shifting from key negotiation to strategic partnership, from price to price, to a win-win and incentive mechanism.
(3) Procurement management is not considered at the strategic level. For example, the procurement strategy and partner selection evaluation criteria are not included in the company's strategy, and the development and improvement of new products are not consistent with strategic suppliers.
(4) The decentralized purchase of chicken farms ignores the maximization of overall benefits, such as the overall distribution and distribution of goods, and the insufficient configuration of production and distribution networks. 
(5) Lack of effective procurement tracking, evaluation, analysis and intelligent decision-making tools and information platforms. Strategic procurement is the process of establishing business supply channels at the lowest total cost, not a simple transaction of obtaining current raw materials at the lowest procurement price. 

Strategic procurement fully balances the internal and external advantages of the company and aims to reduce the cost of the entire supply chain, covering the entire procurement process, from raw material description to payment management.

 Strategic procurement mainly includes: 
 (1) Centralized procurement is a basic strategic procurement method that improves bargaining power and reduces unit procurement costs through centralized procurement.
 (2) Expand the supplier base, expand the scope of supplier selection, attract more competition, and reduce procurement costs.
(3) Two hard and objective factors for optimizing procurement costs, namely the number of procurement and the number of suppliers, optimizing the procurement process and mode, and improving the optimization of services.
(4) The standardization of raw materials/products/services fully takes into account the future business costs of purchasing, manufacturing, storage and transportation in the product/service design stage, improving the standardization of raw materials, processes and services, and reducing the subsequent cost of differences.

The growth and development of chickens and their physiological metabolism are the ultimate standards for testing feed quality. The characteristics of feed nutrients restrict the material basis of animal growth and development. The health and safety of feed affect the coordination of animal health and physiological functions. The digestibility and palatability of feed determine the efficiency and degree of animal feed utilization. Therefore, to evaluate the quality of feed, it should be considered in terms of feed nutrients, digestibility, palatability, processing quality, health and safety, etc.
